The Rice Science Center congratulates Ms. Moe Moe Kyi Win, a Ph.D. student of the Rice Science Center, who received the Crawford-in-Queensland International Engagement Award to study and research the discovery of genes resistant to bacterial leaf streak disease in rice, an important problem for rice growing worldwide.
Dr. Ido Bar, Research Fellow, Crop & Pathogen Genomics, Centre for Planetary Health and Food Security, Griffith University, Queensland, Australia, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarate Arikit, Director of the Rice Science Center, supervises the research.
Ms. Moe Moe Kyi Win is a Ph.D. student in the Agricultural Sciences: Thailand Scholarship program of the Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, and is the first international student to receive a full Thailand Scholarship from Kasetsart University.
