Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwaret Arikit, Director of the Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University, led the center's research team in presenting progress in rice research and breeding, important work by researchers of the center, to reflect the direction of the country's rice research development in line with current environmental, economic and consumer-demand changes.
On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Apichart Vanavichit, Senior Advisor to the Rice Science Center, kindly gave a special lecture titled “Rice Breeding to Support Global Change and Future Rice Consumption”, emphasizing the challenges of rice breeding under climate change and food security, as well as rice consumption trends that value nutrition, health and sustainability.
The event was held in Meeting Room 1, Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University, with researchers, academics, faculty and students attending to listen and exchange views, reflecting the center's role as a hub of rice knowledge and research.
