On 31 August 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwaret Arikit, Director of the Rice Science Center, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chao Inprasit, Vice President of the Kamphaeng Saen Campus,
and the Department of Entomology, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suradet Buttachon, Head of the Department of Entomology, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunisa Sa-nguansap, Deputy Head of the Department of Entomology, and Dr. Anuchat Sawasdee, researcher at the Rice Science Center, welcomed a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS), People's Republic of China.
The CATAS delegation was led by:
* Prof. Lyu Baoqian (head of delegation) from the Environment and Plant Protection Institute (EPPI)
* Prof. Wang Xiangshe from the Institute of Tropical Bioscience and Biotechnology (ITBB)
* Researchers Liu Shen and Pan Yunfei from EPPI
The Director of the Rice Science Center gave a talk presenting the center's outstanding research and took the CATAS delegation to visit the various laboratories to show its capability and readiness in research technology.
🤝 This meeting focused on exchanging knowledge and discussing approaches to cooperation in agriculture, science and technology, an important step in expanding the academic and research network between the Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University, and CATAS, to jointly build on advancing agricultural technology.
