SCiUS Camp Learning Agricultural Technology at the Rice Science Center
On 23 May 2024, Dr. Siriphat Ruengphayak, researcher at the Rice Science Center, and the research team, Kasetsart University,
welcomed 60 students in the camp project supporting excellence in agriculture and agricultural technology, part of the Science Classrooms in the School project under the supervision of Kasetsart University, at the Rice Science Center, and shared knowledge on advances in agricultural science and technology, especially research on developing new rice varieties that resist disease and insects, tolerate drought, flooding and heat, and give high yields, as well as modern agricultural technology such as precision agriculture, the study of stomatal mechanisms, and the rice root system. The students had the chance to practice rice pollination and toured the various laboratories of the Rice Science Center, and were very interested.
