Salary: 35,000 baht

Applicant qualifications

1. Ph.D. in Agronomy or another related field
2. Experience or a thesis on plant root systems and soil microorganisms, including crop production physiology
3. At least 1 year of research experience on rice
4. At least 1 academic publication in an international journal related to root systems in cereals

Job description

1. Conduct research on the relationship among soil microbes, plants and the atmosphere in greenhouse gas emissions from rice paddies
2. Analyze greenhouse gas quantities using a gas chromatograph and monitoring instruments, including analysis of greenhouse gases produced by plants (LI-COR Environmental)
3. Study the physiological and molecular mechanisms of rice in relation to greenhouse gas emissions
4. Breed rice to reduce greenhouse gas emissions using the Speed Breeding system

Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom
