On 14 May 2026, Dr. Siriphat Ruengphayak, Dr. Anuchat Sawasdee, Mr. Suman Hoimala, Ms. Suparat Klinsawang and Ms. Siriporn Rumsuay of the Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University, shared knowledge with students and welcomed students taking part in the camp supporting excellence in agriculture and agricultural technology at Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus. The aim is to encourage students to learn and practice modern agriculture and to apply the knowledge to science projects and to develop skills in agricultural innovation.
On this occasion, the Rice Science Center organized rice science learning stations to share research knowledge and experience with the students, consisting of 3 learning stations:
1. A learning station on rice pollination, so participants learn about rice breeding and crossing to develop new lines.
2. A learning station on stomata and rice roots, including the use of greenhouse gas chambers in rice fields, to study the structure and function of the rice plant and learn technology for measuring greenhouse gases in rice paddy systems.
3. A learning station on rice DNA testing, introducing basic molecular techniques used to analyze rice genetics.
The activity emphasizes hands-on learning to inspire interest in agricultural science and technology and to promote the development of sustainable agricultural innovation. #KU #RSC #HUB #RICE #hubofrice
