On 7 September 2026, the Director of the Rice Science Center assigned Mr. Suriya Phuengbamrung, research assistant, to welcome faculty and students from the Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, on a study visit under course 02036241 Introduction to Entomology at the Thanyaosot Rice Mill, rice processing facility building.
This study visit aims to let students learn about rice insect pests and insects related to harvesting and storing rice, through learning at real sites and environments and seeing the rice management and processing process, helping students link entomology knowledge from theory to practical application.
The Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, plans to bring a total of 171 students on study visits, divided into 4 groups: 7 September, 38 students; 8 September, 29 students; 10 September, 49 students; and 11 September, 55 students, between 14:00 and 16:00.
The Rice Science Center gives importance to transferring rice science and technology knowledge to staff and students, to build understanding of the complete rice production system and promote putting this knowledge to use in agriculture and the rice industry.
